MACS® SmartStrainers are designed for the easy removal of cell aggregates or large particles after tissue dissociation or from larger blood samples to obtain uniform single-cell suspensions.

Background information
The smart design of the MACS SmartStrainers allows improved ventilation during filtration, and so avoids clogging of the strainers. The MACS SmartStrainers easily fit into standard 15 mL and 50 mL conical tubes of all major suppliers. Their compact design facilitates sterile handling.

Applications
The MACS SmartStrainers can be used for removal of larger particles from cell suspensions from tissue dissociated with the gentleMACS™ Dissociators and from larger blood samples.
